The most technologically sophisticated Pro range yet, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max were unveiled by Apple. They include the Dynamic Island, a new design that offers an easy way to use the iPhone, and the Always-On display. The iPhone 14 Pro introduces a new class of pro camera system with the first-ever 48MP Main camera on an iPhone featuring a quad-pixel sensor and Photonic Engine, an improved image pipeline that significantly enhances low-light photos, and is powered by A16 Bionic, the fastest chip ever in a smartphone.
The hardware enhancements on these two smartphones are among the biggest ones we’ve seen on an iPhone in recent years. The notch’s replacement with a superior hole-and-pill cutout, as well as new camera systems, are some of these.
For months, we’ve been hearing bits and pieces about the design of the iPhone 14 Pro models. And finally, we have a new front design for iPhones. Apple has replaced the iPhone 13’s large bathtub notch with a pill-shaped cutout on the Pro models. And the most interesting aspect is that the notifications and alerts can make use of this notch with a feature called Dynamic Island.

Design and Display
The 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch versions of the iPhone 14 Pro are both available in terms of design. The majority of the rear side is likely unaltered, save from the increased camera hump. The front-facing side has the more intriguing upgrades. The controversial notch has now been replaced with two cuts, a pill and a hole, by Apple.
Phone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max also continue to provide industry-leading durability features with the Ceramic Shield front cover — harder than any smartphone glass — and are protected from typical spills and mishaps with water and dust resistance.
The improved display also has the same peak HDR brightness level as Pro Display XDR, as well as the best outdoor peak brightness in a smartphone: up to 2000 nits, which is twice as bright as the iPhone 13 Pro.
Performance
Models of the iPhone 14 Pro have the all-new Apple A16 Bionic technology and a long battery life. These phones, as you might expect, support the Qi and MagSafe wireless charging standards. Furthermore, you can charge them with a Lightning wire. Users in the United States and Canada have satellite access for Find My and emergencies. The service, which operates in locations with no coverage, will be free for two years once it begins in November.
Cameras
The pro camera system on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max pushes the limits of what is possible in a smartphone, allowing any user — casual or professional — to produce the greatest photographs and video.
With Photonic Engine, Phone 14 Pro pushes computational photography even further, providing a massive leap for mid- to low-light performance in photos across all cameras: up to 2x on the Main camera, up to 3x on the Ultra Wide camera, up to 2x on the Telephoto camera, and up to 2x on the TrueDepth camera.
A new front-facing TrueDepth camera with a /1.9 aperture for improved low-light performance in images and video. For the first time, it can focus even faster in low light and record group images from a greater distance.

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max Pricing and Availability
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max start at $999 and $1,099 in the U.S. respectively. They will be available for pre-order starting Friday, September 9. They will then start shipping to customers on September 16.
